SmartRate works out which repair a part belongs to, the labour code that repair bills at, and what the part costs from Marcone. You get the total the customer pays, worked out the same way every time, by everyone in the shop.

How it works

  1. Enter the part Type or paste the part number off the machine or the parts list. SmartRate fills in the brand and appliance on its own.
  2. It finds the repair Every part is looked up in the job rate guide to find the repair and its labour code, from D2 for a quick fix at the front up to Z44 for a sealed system. Labour is priced by how hard the job is to get at, not by the hour.
  3. It prices the part Look it up on Marcone for cost, retail and stock. The part is marked up on a curve, so cheap parts carry a bigger percentage than expensive ones.
  4. You quote the total Service call + labour + part. The service call depends on the brand and appliance, so a premium brand is priced as one.

What's in it

  • The job rate guide — tens of thousands of part numbers, each tied to the repair and labour code it bills at.
  • Parts that fit more than one machine — you're shown each repair with its appliance, and you pick the one in front of you.
  • Live Marcone pricing — cost, retail, core charge and stock in one lookup.
  • Your shop's rates — an admin sets what you charge per labour code, and everyone quotes the same numbers.
  • Your whole team — create an account for your business, then add your workers. They use your Marcone account and rates without ever seeing or changing them.
